Serving Everyone: All families, All bodies, All Choices, All outcomes
A bereavement doula specializes in supporting families at their most vulnerable during any stage of pregnancy during or after loss. This looks different for each family depending on if the loss was expected/unexpected, gestation of the baby, time of death, fatal diagnosis/carrying to term, and the needs of the family. I am prepared to provide support for miscarriages, stillbirths, live births, uncertainty at any stage, and other types of loss such as bereaved loved ones, getting pregnant again, recurrent miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, elective abortion, neonatal death and fatal fetal diagnosis, home stillbirth, and even maternal death. I am also trained to provide postpartum and grief support. Clients find services helpful when questioning the condition of their pregnancy physically or emotional stability, venting, and guidance. I enable families to pause during a season by assisting in guiding everyday life. Becoming vulnerable with you while you are paralyzed by grief. I desire hope and healing for families, until they desire it for themselves.
1 in 4 women will experience a pregnancy or infant loss. Your birth is still birth, and your needs and wants matter. Numbers don’t really quantify the level of grief women face silently every day around the world. Take My Hand is the first doula agency in the Tri-Cities specifically serving families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.
